The skull features incised birds and painted pinwheels along with several messages of commemoration. It is signed “Mama 1948-1980” on the side and on the bottom and also bears the notation “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal Life Rom 6-23.” Other symbols may be an artist’s signature.
